Skin’s most impressive ability is the capacity to stretch. The collagen and elastin in the skin’s dermis layer gives skin its strength and elasticity. Unfortunately some people don’t have as much collagen and elastin as others and the result is a lack of elasticity. This lack of elasticity as well as rapid growth can cause tearing of the connecting fibres that eventually turns into scaring. There are two types of stretch marks: white and red. Older stretch marks normally are white or silver-coloured and newer stretch marks are usually pink or purple in colour. + Fotona Laser Peel
Fotona micro-laser peels can remove nearly all fine wrinkles, while significantly improving deeper, more dynamic wrinkles. The laser beam gently vaporizes micron-thin layers of the epidermis while thermally affecting deeper skin layers to stimulate the production of collagen in the dermis. We have the ability to completely customize the treatment by controlling the depth and region of your laser treatment. This results in a treatment catered specifically to your needs. During the treatment you can expect minimal to mild discomfort. Immediately following the treatment, you may experience some redness and sun burn like sensation, depending on your customized treatment settings. Most patients can resume their daily activities immediately as the mild redness and sunburn like sensation will only last for a few hours. Some more aggressive treatments may have redness and mild swelling for 2-3 days. It is best to avoid direct sun for a few days following the treatment and to apply sun screen at all times while outdoors.
